Information we collect and how we use it
We may collect the following types of information:

Information you provide. When you sign up for a Flurry Account, we ask you for personal information. We may combine the information you submit under your account with information from other Flurry Live services or third parties in order to provide a better experience and to improve the quality of our services. Because Flurry is all about communicating with friends, we may - with your consent - collect information from your contact list available on your mobile device. We use this information to show you which of your friends are already using the Flurry Service and to make it easy for you to invite new friends to join the Flurry Service.

Usage Information. We collect information about your activity through our services. If you are logged in, we may associate that information with your Flurry account. For example, we may collect information about:

  • how you interact with the services, such as which live streams you watch, when you text chat, which creators you subscribe to and which emojis and stickers you share
  • which other users you follow and which users follow you

Content Information. We collect the content you provide and information about that content, such as who has viewed the content, replayed the content, interacted with the content (ie by using text chat, sharing emojis or sharing stickers), and the metadata that is provided with the content.

Location Information. When you use our services we may collect information about your location. With your consent, we may also collect information about your precise location using methods that include GPS, wireless networks, cell towers, Wi-Fi access points, and other sensors, such as gyroscopes, accelerometers, and compasses.

Device Information. We collect device-specific information, such as the hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, browser type, language, wireless network, and mobile network information (including the mobile phone number). We also collect device information that will help us diagnose and troubleshoot problems in the event you experience any crash or other problem while using our services.

Information Collected by Cookies and Similar Technologies. Like most online services and mobile applications, we may use cookies and other technologies, such as web beacons, web storage, and unique device identifiers, to collect information about your activity, browser, and device.

Log information. When you access the Flurry Services, our servers automatically record certain information. These server logs may include information such as:

  • details about how you’ve used our services
  • device information, such as the type of mobile device, version of the operating system, web browser type and language
  • access times
  • pages viewed
  • IP address
  • pages you visited before navigating to our services
  • cookies that may uniquely identify your device or browser

User communications. When you send email or other communications to us, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services. We may collect and maintain information associated with those messages, such as the email address, phone number, wireless carrier associated with the phone number, content of the message, and the date and time of the communication. We may use your email address to communicate with you about our services.

Third Party Applications. We may make available third party applications through the Flurry Service. The information that we collect when you enable a third party application is processed under this Privacy Policy. Information collected by the third party application provider is governed by their privacy policies.

How We Use Information. We may use your information in the following ways:

  • develop, improve, deliver, maintain, and protect our products and services
  • communicate with you
  • monitor and analyze trends and usage
  • personalize the services by, among other things, suggesting friends or profile information or providing advertisements, content, or features that match user profiles, interests, or previous activities
  • enhance the safety and security of our services
  • verify your identity and prevent fraud or other unauthorized or illegal activity
  • use information we’ve collected from cookies and other technology to enhance the services and your experience with them

We may also store some information locally on your device. For example, we may store information as local cache so that you can open the app and view content faster.

Geography. Flurry Live processes personal information on our servers in the United States of America and in other countries. In some cases, we process personal information outside your own country. You consent to us processing and transferring information in and to the United States and other countries whose data-protection and privacy laws may offer fewer protections than those in your home country.

Opt-out Choices. You may choose to opt-out of receiving push notifications relating to the Flurry Service by going to the Settings section within the mobile operating system and turning off notifications. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, but you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, the certain features and services may not function properly if your cookies are disabled.

Childrens’ Privacy. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age. The Flurry Service is intended for a general audience and is not in any way targeted to children under 13 years of age. If any parent, guardian, or other person becomes aware that a child under the age of 13 has submitted any information via the Flurry Service or that information about a child under the age of 13 has been posted on the Flurry Service, please notify us by emailing us at or call us at (415) 369-9314 and we will take appropriate steps to remove and/or delete the information.

Information sharing. We only share personal information with third party companies or individuals in the following limited circumstances:

With other users of the Flurry Service. We may share the following information with other users of the Flurry Service:

  • public information, such as your name, text chats you send, your profile picture, and your profile information;
  • information about how you have interacted with the Flurry Service, such as how many emojis you have received or shared; and
  • content you post or send will be shared with other users and potentially the public at large.

We have your consent. We require opt-in consent for the sharing of any sensitive personal information.

With service providers and partners. We provide such information to our subsidiaries, affiliated companies or other trusted businesses or persons for the purpose of processing personal information on our behalf. We may share information about you with service providers who perform services on our behalf, sellers that provide goods through our services, and business partners that provide services and functionality.

With third parties for legal reasons. We have a good faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request, (b) enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations thereof, © detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, or (d) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of our company, our users or the public as required or permitted by law.

With third parties as part of a merger or acquisition. If we become involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of its assets, we may share your personal information before and after the transaction closes. In this case, your information may be transferred and become subject to a different privacy policy.

Information security. We restrict access to personal information to our employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to process it on our behalf. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.

Changes to this Privacy Policy. Please note that this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will post any Privacy Policy changes on this page. Your continued use of the Flurry Service signifies your compliance with the then-current privacy policy.

Viewing Live Events on the Flurry App. You can watch video content on the Flurry App without having a Flurry Account. You also can contact us by emailing us directly without having to register for an account.

Your Flurry Account. For some activities on the Furry Service, like creating a live event, chatting, or purchasing subscriptions or virtual goods, you need a Flurry Account.

The Live Events May be Recorded. Live events that are broadcast via the Flurry Service may be recorded and may be available for playback. Other users may be able to playback any live events created through the Flurry Service. It may not be possible for you to delete content that has been recorded.

Information That is Publicly Available. When you create a Flurry account, some information about your Flurry account and your account activity will be provided to other users the Flurry Service. This may include the date you opened your Flurry Account, the date you last logged into your Flurry Account, the content you have created, the number of followers you have, the people you are following, the country you are from and the number and types of emojis you have shared. Your Flurry Account name is displayed to other users when you engage in certain activities via the Flurry Service, such as when you create a live event or send chat messages through the Flurry Service. Any live events or Content that you submit via the Flurry Service may be redistributed through the internet and other media channels, and may be viewed by other users of the Flurry Service or the general public. You may also choose to add personal information, which may include your name, gender, profile picture or other details, that will be visible to other users.
